Drinking Water Has Way Too Many Benefits

Many of us still don't drink enough water, even after learning the importance of drinking 8 - 10 glasses of water each day. Since we are made up of mostly water, it only makes sense to keep our bodies hydrated, with water, not just soft drinks as many do.

I've learned it's important to drink at least 1/2 our body weight in ounces of water each day.

For inspiration, here are some of the great benefits water will give us:

Water keeps us looking young

It moisturizes our hair and skin from the inside out

It flushes out impurities and fat.

It keeps our blood supply clear

Drinking water helps us keep our ideal weight

I have much more to list here but in the meantime, here's a great link about water:

  • Thank you Sugahboo for your comments and for telling me about the water link - it's corrected now.

Friends of mine who stopped drinking soft drinks not only felt better but if they were overweight, the weight just fell off rather quickly. Even diet soft drinks cause weight gain. I'm going to post soon on this topic.

  • Hello Easywriter! I've learned that tea, coffee, soft drinks, Kool-Aid, soup, beer - anything that isn't water does not count. Our bodies process other fluids differently than water.

  • I love water. I guzzle a bunch at night before bed and in the morning I don't have to worry about hitting the snooze alarm and oversleeping. I'm ready to get up. In fact, it is mandatory!

Is pricey bottled water a scam? Look at the gallon price for some bottled waters and compare it to the price of gasoline. And you thought they were taking you for a ride at the pumps.

  • LOL Prying1 about drinking all that water before going to bed! It's true - no worries at all about oversleeping!

I watched the recent 20/20 segment about bottled water and the taste test they did revealed the most expensive bottled water has the worst taste. New York City tap water rated the highest.
