Easy, Effective Ways to Clean Fruit and Vegetables

A simple, safe and inexpensive way to get our fresh vegetables and fruit clean is to soak them in water with baking soda added or add apple cider vinegar to water and soak about 5 minutes.

Another very effective way is to add a combination of hydrogen peroxide and apple cider vinegar in a bowl of water and briefly soak (scrub if necessary) your vegetables and rinse. While rinsing leafy veggies, I like using a salad spinner running a stream of water into the hole on top, then spinning it dry.


All vegetables, including organic are exposed to bacteria from the soil and people's hands so washing before eating them is very important.
